Saturday Soup

Thank you, Kathie @ My Net Finds You are so supportive. It means so much to me! Please check out Kathie's site you will always find something wonderful there. And she is having two awesome giveaways going on now. Don't miss out!! I'm supposed to give this to 15 bloggers. I will have to get back to you on that.
I'd like to also thank Dawn, from Two Pretty Little Skirts for this awesome award. I am so humbled and honored to be recognized. She has a great blog, go check it out! You made my day, thank you, Dawn!!
The award reads "o teu blog merece ser filmado" which is Portuguese and translates to "your blog deserves to be filmed".

What to do:
1. Post it to the blog and link to who gave it to you.
2. Choose 5 life situations that could be repeated in slow motion and explain why.
3. List up to 8 blogs and let them know you've given them the award. (will have to get back on this one too)

I would choose any 5 days when my husband was employed and we lived in a place that I can recognize.

Here's a little recap of our week

I have two new listings on etsy:

We did a little circle painting this week:

The guinea pigs were willing but it took some persauding to get the boys on board. So, I put on some new age spa music found on pandora.com (if you don't know about this site check it out, it's great) and it relaxed them a bit. Well it relaxed the little one, the big one put on his headphones and listened to his own music. It did my heart good to see my children painting, even though they complained most of the way through it.

We are also doing math mad minutes and 20 minutes of reading everyday. They complain that I shouldn't make them do school work in the summer. Have to keep those young minds sharp!

Yesterday a strange storm rolled in:

The sky was an amazing shade of purple. It was dark as can be to the east and sunny and bright to the west, where the sun was starting to set. It created spectacular lighting. The sun was like a spotlight. The air was so still. No birds were chirping and all you could hear were crickets. Very strange but beautiful! And it never really rained.

We are watching the series "24" on dvd. My mom got us hooked on it. We watch a few episodes each night. It takes our minds off of our current situation, which is quite scary for us.

Well, that's it for now. I think I'll do some garage sales this morning. Maybe I'll get lucky and find some great frames:)

Have a great weekend!
Cindy
