Today I decided to start walking. I haven't been feeling very motivated to go to the gym lately. There is nothing creative about lifting weights. So I decided to merge physical exercise with a creative exercise. I will be taking my camera with me as I walk my way into shape. I walked from 7:00-8:10 AM this morning and photographed the sunrise, beautiful warm lights and cool shadows.
Every morning (or at least 3-4 mornings a week) I will walk for 45 minutes to 1 hour and try to capture interesting images with my camera. Some days I may focus on a theme like trees or shadows, other day may be more random. I am working on a new blog to document my journey. Would you like to participate in my Creatively Fit blog? My goal is to build a blog team of Creatively Fit walkers. We could share our pictures from our daily walks and record our physical progress. Sound like fun?!

What a GREAT idea!! It's so hard to get motivated to walk in the morning, but having something to look forward to doing while walking is a fantastic idea!!!! And I LOVE the pics you took on your walk!

But that does look like fun. It actually reminded me of the movie Yes, Man. Did you see it? Zooey Deschanel's character leads an exercise group on photo runs. They don't stop to take the pictures, they just shoot while they're running. It looked kind of fun. :-)
I've heard of this idea before! Oh, wait, I think it was on "Yes Man" that one with Zooey Deschaniel and Jim Carrey -- cute movie, btw. I'll be thinking about joining!

Hi there, am now following your new blog.. What a great and inpiring way to get fit.. I walk everyday for 60 minutes, the only thing is I walk on my threadmill.. Beautiful pictures.. Don't give up, the first week is the hardest.. You will feel really awesome.. thanks for sharing..

omg what a wonderful idea! i joined the gym, but find a zillion reasons why i can't get by butt there... this is a wonderful idea and i can use my new camera and new lense... i'm going to try it.. ok tomorrow... LOL i have 2 posts today stop by and say "hi"
